My path into Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion began on the ground, driven by a simple belief: everyone deserves a workplace where they truly belong.
For over a decade, I have been designing and delivering bespoke DE&I training and workshops, ranging from the foundational basics of team inclusion to advanced unconscious bias sessions for recruitment specialists. My experience spans grassroots human rights activism, including co-organising global inclusion conferences at World Pride events, to collaborating on large-scale culture shifts within major organisations.
Since 2015, I have specialised within the charity sector, notably managing internal D&I training and policy reviews for Greenpeace’s fundraising and volunteer operations, and contributing to organisation-wide inclusion strategies. During the pandemic, I served as a sector-wide D&I Champion for the face-to-face fundraising industry, designing and distributing collaborative training frameworks to help fast-paced teams navigate unprecedented structural and operational challenges.
My professional framework is continually sharpened by my personal lived experience. I know exactly what it feels like when rigid structures fail to accommodate people who don't fit into standard boxes. Combined with an academic foundation (First-Class BA in Contemporary History & Politics) and years of hands-on volunteering in high-stakes environments like the Lesvos refugee crisis, I don't just quote HR buzzwords. I look at organisations through a truly intersectional lens. I excel at spotting the subtle, compounding barriers that others miss, such as the ones faced by visually impaired individuals navigating emergency environments.
